We’re Jewish. We’re Queer. We’re Here With You.

Shalom, Dykes is a grassroots community dedicated to bringing Jewish dykes together, joyfully and visibly.

Our project was born out of a painful reality: many Jewish dykes no longer felt welcome in spaces that once felt like home.

We create safe and welcoming spaces, as well as partner with others in the community who host events of their own. We embrace trans, pan, lesbian, bi, and ace dykes as well as those who love us - wherever you are in your Jewish or queer journey.

If this is you, you’re in the right place.

Volume Three. Jewish dykes built this (and let's be honest, we built it better). Come as you are. Be seen as your whole self, no questions asked. Bring your joy; bring your rage. Get that electric feeling you only get from being completely surrounded by dykes, minus the antisemitism.

When you register for an event, we add you to our mailing list (managed by Kit - this is an app, not a cute queer). If you sign up for an event by a partner organization, they will also receive your registration information. We will never share your information outside of these purposes.

Why Shalom, Dykes?

Heading 1

"Shalom, Dykes has given me the space to be my full self, to take up space, and not hide any parts of who I am."

B, 36

"Before Shalom, Dykes, I was feeling isolated and pessimistic; I was convinced I would never be able to have queer friends again. The community I've found through Shalom, Dykes has been a life-saver."

CG, 33

"Shalom, Dykes gave me voice, home, and the knowing that as a Jewish queer trans person, I do not need permission to take my seat at the table."

S, 27

"After October 7, I didn’t think I’d find a queer or a Jewish community where I’d feel at home. Shalom, Dykes has given me somewhere I can just be me."

AV, 57

"I am a queer Jew, and after October 7, I immediately lost a huge amount of my queer community. I'm so grateful for the creation of Shalom Dykes and their events where I can bring my whole self."

L, 38
