# Shalom, Dykes
> Shalom, Dykes is a grassroots community established in 2024 to create joyful, visible, and welcoming spaces for Jewish dykes and their allies. The organization emerged in response to feelings of exclusion and isolation within some queer spaces, particularly following events around October 7th and the NYC Dyke March Committee's formalization of anti-Zionism. The site invites community members to get involved through volunteering, partnerships, and by staying connected via its newsletter and WhatsApp channel. Shalom, Dykes aims to foster an inclusive environment where Jewish dykes can express their full identities without reservation.
